Espresso machine will not heat

on top of the boiler one cable is clipped tightly to the top under a piece of clear plastic tube. This is a thermal cutout in case of over heating, all power comes through this. Check both ends of this cable with a meter to see if there is con tinuity. If not the thermal cutout has blown and needs to be replaced. I believe this item is difficult to source.

A Carrier mod # 24ANA760A300 Infinity with an error code #72 high stage thermal cutout, What causes this?

if it's a thermal cutout that's mounted on the circuit board you may have to replace the whole board. I don't have the carrier error codes at hand. But a "thermal cutout" is normally found on the compressor. One advantage of the old (before digital) systems is that the controls were all separate. So you could replace a bad high pressure switch or contactor. Without having to replace a expensive circuit board that held most of the controls.
Not to mention being easy to damage by power surges and lightning

My cuisinart brew central, 8 yrs old and still going strong - until now, just turns off after brewing 1/2 pot of coffee. I can turn it back on easily by hitting the toggle swithch. Just started to do...

Hi, Eight years is unreal. I was going to suggest that the boiler elelment i s starting to fail, but i think it could be a thermal cut out which is positioned on the boiler. Thermal cutouts are connected to the main toggel switch. The thermal cutout turns of the power when activated. You can check it wity a meter (approx 12kOmhs). Id replace the thermal cut out anyway. They do ware out.

Hotpoint tdl30p thermal cutout required-no heater element working but heater element is fine when cutout is temporarily bridged-need part nr of cutout

Usually, there are 2 or 3 thremal cutouts in these machines (Side by side).

They should be changed together. I'm not sure if THT1001 is a hotpoint part number.

If you're in the UK, then go look at:
http://www.tdspares.co.uk/products.asp?cat=68 where you will get the pair for £8.95

My searches get drowned by UK entries because that's where I am!) If you're in the US, just google "hotpoint tumble thermal cutout" and you'll find loads (Note that proces vary hugely from $10 a pair to about $25!)

My stoves 720ef oven keeps cutting out after 20 minutes and will not turn back on, the grill continues to work ok. I know the timer is set to manual so I guess it must be a thermal trip. As I do not have a...

There are seperate thermal (overheat) cutout devices for both the top and bottom ovens. First check to see if the lower oven fan is running ok and is not restricted by grease or fat (there are 4 self tapping screws that hold the fan cover on) and the thermostat is switching off and on as it should. You should also check that the main background cooling fan is running and switches off a few mins after the ovens have turned off. If these check out ok, then it is possibly the lower oven thermal cutout.

Will be using my dc07 for about 10 mins then it cuts out i leave it to cool then it goes for about 5 mins and carries on like this

There is a thermal cutout on the motor causing this problem because it is overheating. Either it needs the filter replacing and a good blowout with compressed air or the thermal switch is faulty. Try replacing the filters first and if the problem persists it is probably a faulty thermal cutout. Dyson can either replace under warranty or an engineer will call and do a home refurb for a fixed price of £60
