If you're using Internet Explorer, click on "Tools", then "Internet Options". You can set your home page to Yahoo on the first page (save that). On the Programs tab, you'll see Manage Add-Ins. That's where you restore the Google Toolbar. If you're using another browser, go to Google, enter the name of the browser and "set home page".
If you have one of the new cell phones the chances are that the process will be very simple.
> Start by typing the number on your home screen as if you are dialing it. > When the number is typed correctly, look for Options. (Most commonly it is Left Softkey) > Select Add to Contacts from Options Menu. > Write the First Name of the person whose number you are trying to save and press OK. > Write the second name and press OK.
i have the same problem, try re-editing the number, if it lets you re-save the new contact and it will complete the synchronization, if not then turn it off and back on, it will let you edit it then. it was kind of a pain when mine kept yelling at me but so far this is all ive found to help with the issue, ive had it for a couple months and didnt know what it was trying to do in the first place for a while. this wont stop it from freaking out again the next time you add in a number, but just re-edit again and it will calm down.
The only way to do it is to set the contacts bar as the standby theme (menu>settings>settings>general>personalisation>standby mode>standby theme), then go back into the standby mode menu, into Home screen applications and untick all the boxes. You are left with the shortcut bar along the bottom of the home screen, and nothing else. Nice. And stupidly complicated. Thanks Nokia.
Ive has this problem before, this normally happens if you have your contacts saves twice in your phonebook, for instanse if you have them saved to the SIM and the phone. Try deleting either all SIM contacts or all phone contacts, your messages should then show as the name you have it saved as in your phonebook.
hi im josh in cebu phils. Friend as a mobile phone technicians we have encountered a lot of this problem. Here are the things to do to solve your problem. 1. Try to check whether you haven't save the same numbers at your phone book because doing a such may cause this problem. Because when two numbers with the same file name are already save in.it will cause the memory to mislead which of the two would be displayed in the screen. remember all the numbers are save in the memory and everytime the number will send a message it will be registered to the memory and thats the time it will react the match number assigned to the filename designated to the number who sent and display the name on the screen. and if there are two numbers saved with same file name the software will discredit or discard the file name to be displayed thats why it appears only a number. the best thing to do check the number and avoid duplication so that you may keep away such problem. 2. Check the phone setting display number and be sure it is enable to Name or Name and number format. thats all friend good luck hope i helped you.
