Good Afternoon Friend,
I understand that your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAC126P1, is not blowing cold air even though the compressor is cycling on.
First, check to make sure that the temperature sensing element is not touching a cold coil. This will be located behind the air filter. If it is, straighten the element away from the coil.
Secondly, try resetting your air conditioner to a lower temperature.
Lastly, the compressor shuts off sometimes by changing modes. Wait approximately 3 minutes and listen for the compressor to restart when set in the "COOL" mode.
I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dryer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
-Best Regards-

Check to see if it has excess water draining out. It might be clooged somewhere.

if unit is more than 5 yrs old dump it!!! most frigidaire models just dont last...that is why they are so cheap...get it???
SOURCE: my ac is not blowing cold air
The unit may be low on refrigerant. There is probably a low pressure switch in the unit to protect the compressor so it wont turn on and get damaged beyond repair. You can take it to your local appliance repair shop and have it looked at. I would get a quote on repair first. Most of the time it is cheaper to buy a new unit than it is to pay just the labor to have it repaired.

your compressor motor is no good Time to replace unit
SOURCE: Air conditioner isn't blowing cold!
You will need the condenser coils repaired before you can charge it. These come from the factory sealed and they should not ever need a charge unless you have a leak. The hissing sound is more likely air in the system being pumped by the comressor and it is coming out a hole in the coils.
You can get required parts from from online sites like: --- www.repairclinic.com or from searspartsdirect online site. --------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

You may have a faulty compressor or you don 't have anymore of the coolant in the compressor. This sounds like you are going to need a new compressor. This is what happened to our refrigerator when it ran out. The motor would come on, but nothing was going on. http://www.assetaircon.com.au/maintenance.html
