How do you forward a avaya 2410 that has console permission

A hard reset will clear a consumer set pass code, unless it is stolen, reported stolen or the code to open has been entered wrongly 4 times. Then it becomes PUK/SIM locked. EXCEPT, now I looked it up, this is a home phone!

You need to go into programming and move the 2 extensions in Manager.
Once moved in Manager, at each phone dial *36 to force the change.

What system and what model phone??

Is the phones ringer turned up? It needs to be loud enough to make the ring detector ring.....

Which system is the phone on? You may not have permissions to forward out to a cell.

I have been using Avaya for the past 6 months. I have faced similar problems. May be you can try connecting the phone in place of another IP phone and check if the problem persists. This can isolate the problem whether it is with the phone or the network.

what you could do is duplicate the set-up of a working phone for the new phone and see if that works

to idle a phone use busy sta <extens> and release sta < ext>

It sounds as if your "Send all calls" button is activated.
