Line6 Edit needs comp on for any volume?

When using edit to set up tones, I've found that I must have the compressor on (even if it is set to 0) on in order to get any volume at all. Then I found out the other day when I actually made a mistake an clicked the floorboard to MANUAL that is was louder than heck, but with the effects in, I have to turn the amp almost all the way up to get any volume at all. Thoughts?

SOURCE: Amp goes quiet after working fine for about 15-20 min.

If you are not a tech, I suggest you send it to one. If you are, after signal-dropout spray output transistors (one at a time) with component cooler (freeze spray). If still no results, go to the other transistors & IC's. Chances are that will pinpoint faulty component.

How do i adjust the drum rhythm volume so it is louder than the tone settings

You ay have to edit a rhythm and save it as a "user defined rhythm". During editing the volume of each part can be defined with vol. level ranging from 0-127.

Please read the manual.
Metronome volume can be easily changed by just holding the metronome button.

It sounds like somehow the pre-gain is very high while the volume or post-gain is very low. Try turning the volume high on the effects unit and the gain low, and don't have the amp volume too low either.

The volume control is not working... even when the volme is "off" it is still on

Chances are the resistance element in the volume control has broken. This is COMMON if the control knob gets smashed some way.

A less common thing would be broken solder where the control is soldered to the circuit board. This would be obvious once the board is accessable.

Servicing involves removing the chassis and replacing the potentiometer.
