It sounds like your camera settings have the( AF Assist Beam) on Off? That is the Amber Color light you see when you half press the shutter button. If that setting is set to OFF, then the camera can not focus in low light giving you blurry pictures as it can not see any light to assist the camera on focusing. If you turn on the (AF Assist Beam) to on, they when you press the shutter button half ways down you will see a Reddish/ Amber light, that light helps the camera find a focus point, giving you a slightly better low light photo.

Back light either set too low or gone duff. Try increasing back light intensity/brightness/ contrast in that order.
Otherwise it's a skilled repair job or buy a new TV.

Picture comes out blurry and there appears a hand that appears to be shaking in the top left hand corner of the picture screen

Hand shake means shutter speed is too low to avoid blurred picture(due to low light)
Either increase lighting or
Use flash and turn it on or use higher ISO setting or
Use lowest aperture number.
Last when there is nothing moving in the frame you can use tripod at any P.A.S settings in any lighting

Sony Cyber-shot takes lots of blurry pictures in

first thing you can do is to try reverting cam back to factory settings.to do that initialize the camera.it's under menu>setup settings>main settings1>initialize. after initializing, set cam to auto adjustment mode (green camera icon in mode dial). what to avoid when taking pictures:
1.subject too close (use macro if needed)
2.insufficient light
3.subject movement
4.camera movement (that's caused by you)
5.incorrect camera setting
5.incorrect camera operation
btw, before you take a picture, press the shutter button halfway down first to give the cam ample time to focus.you'll see a flashing green indicator on the screen that means cam is focusing.when the indicator stops blinking cam is ready for the shot.press shutter button all the way.review your picture.if still blurry, you may try changing iso (for dark or fast moving subject, note:the greater value the noisier the picture gets), metering mode and focus settings by going to the shooting menu (press menu when your in P or program mode). hope this helps.tnx:)

Blurry picture

Try adjusting the focus ring around the lens. Poor quality try adjusting room lighting or you may need to upgrade to a better webcam.

Pictures are blurry

this is a symbol for a low light condition. Either increase the light by opening curtains using in-direct light or just use a flash.

Red light continually flashes, and won't take picture

I have seen this problem on the ex-s880 casio camera a few times sometimes you can go into the setup menu and reset the camera to default and that some times fixes it. it that does not work I have had to replace the flash circuit on the camera because the large compasitor is out and needs tobe replaces most likely this is your problem because of the flashing LED. Hope this helps its a great camera also you might want to check with casio because this should be covered under warrenty. If the camera was not dropped.

Digital camera Fine Pix

Does this happen all under the same lighting conditions, or in low or very bright light? If consistent light, do the pictures still seem faded or blurry on the screen of a computer? if so, the sensor might be damaged, and yes a new one. If they're ok (consistent) on computer screens, then the camera lcd might be loose or damaged which means its fine but give it away and get a new one if you can't handle shooting without relying on the lcd.

Picture is going fuzzy and blinking red light...

This is the classic symptom of a CRT (picture tube)that is starting do get weak. The picture takes longer and longer to come on, it appears greenish and blurry, and it blinks on and off in different scenes, and when it is off the timer LED blinks 5 times. Sony has a circuit called "IK Blanking" which monitors and adjusts the colors in the picture tube, and shuts the picture off when the tube is getting too weak. The good news is that the Sony tubes always respond beautifully to a CRT rejuvination (recharge), and the picture returns to perfect. Since the set is 36 inches and VERY heavy, it should be serviced in-house and an appropriate charge for a service call for your set should be around $150.
