My Panasonic Viera Plasma TV won't turn on.

Thats indicating the standby voltage from the DG has an issue and is preventing the set from powering up. Replacing the DG would be the recomended repair for that issue. You can get the DG board from www.tvrpairworld.com

1 dg board, (stv 5v sense time out). ........ive

To pettinabatem
I am having a shutdown problem with a Panasonic TC-32LX50. Initially when pressing the on switch, you see for 1 second a right half white screen (the left side of the screen remains black) and the TV turns off and the LED flashes 1 time. I did a T-Con cable check (based on the half white screen) and indeed this went away. Got backlight (full screen and no half white screen anymore). But still the TV shuts down after 1 second and the Red front LED flashes one time. Since this code is also illustrating a "dg board, (stv 5v sense time out)" problem in this unit, I was wondering if indeed you have encountered a defective DG board with yours. I am enclining towards a defective Power supply board.

PT-47WX53 47 in. Rear Projection HDTV Television

replace the DG board which is the small board which plugs into the A Board ( on the left side looking in rear of the set) The DG is the board which lays flat on top of the A board. You can get the A board and the DG board combined at www.tvrepairworld.com They may sell it seperately if you inquire.

Panasonic PT-53wx53g will not turn on

Sorry to disagree with the previous hinter, 3 FLASHES is a convergence problem for your model set. This data is direct from the Panasonic manual.

5 flashes is a DG board problem. Unlikely the manual is wrong on their website... (Never hurts to change the convergence ICs anyway) However, the board can only be rebuilt by Panasonic at the Elgin, Illinois plant. You might be able to find a board at a distributor, but anyway you look at it the thing's pretty expensive.

Look on the "A" board for corrosion damage or on the separate plug-in DG board. I've seen moisture condense off the CRT chassis ( or a possible CRT leak) and drip directly on the DG board flatpacks.
