That model is meant for marine (boat) use. You can pre-test it anywhere as long as you are providing the proper power source. It's meant for 12vdc. If you have a marine battery, or a car battery handy, just power it up from that. You do not want to plug it in to household current, you would fry it in a matter of seconds. I would suggest hooking it up to the power 12v outlet in your car of truck to test it.

lcd would be great, I'm interested too

LCD will work just fine as long as the output signal from the unit is VGA (which is most likely), I don't see why an LCD wouldn't work. Performance is most effected by the area around you; out on the water you have a flat clear plain, in city, the more buildings and other obstructions you have the lower the performance.

JRC JMA 2213 Marine Radar. Radar error message be/bearing pulse error. Model JMA 2213

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Office Equipment category to JRC Radar.

The pulse generator is in the dome. Check all the connectors for corrosion. Help in the link and it is a common error. It sounds like you need a new 'professional'.

Will this radar detector detect a ship's radar?

Yes. Most ships use a combination of X band radar (which practically all radar detectors will pick up), and S band radar. The Navy is currently looking to redesign their radar systems, but budget constraints and additional space on board the ship are two major hurdles they have to contend with. You can find this answer rather easily on the internet by searching for "ship radar bands". Hope this helps.

I got a raytheon sl70 pathfinder gps that wont get a fixed signal the antenna is wired right but there dosent seen to be power comeing out of the cord that leads to the antenna. what should i do ????? i...

If you're using a raystar 125 antenna, you will have to power the red wire + and the shield wire - separately. Sl70's don't provide power over seatalk. Also make sure your green and brown wires are properly connected. If it's a 120 just power the red and sheild(black) and leave off the all except the yellow that's your data. If you still have nothing may probably have a problem in the antenna itself.
