My GE Triton dishwasher won't drain. How do I de-clog it?

Remove the dishwasher drain line from the under sink connection. Direct that end to a bucket and run the drain option on the dishwasher.

1. Does water drains to the bucket. Then your under sink hook up to the dishwasher is clogged. Clean it with a screw driver.

2. No drain water comes to the bucket then

2.1 When on drain do you hear a humming noise. If yes then your drain motor working. That means mostly your dishwasher drain line clogged.

2.2 If humming noise is like a fan (impeller) running then drain line clogged.

2.3 If humming noise is like a small struggling to run. Then something stuck in the drain motor impeller.

Dishwasher will not drain

If you can close the door, turn the control to drain and, can hear the motor running; you have a clog under the pump screen in the back of the Dish Washer preventing the pump impeller from turning
if you hear nothing: reset the house circuit breaker.
to fix: while the DW is on turn off the DW house circuit breaker then remove the pump screen and, remove the broken glass etc. from the pump then: repower and, test.

WATER IN MY DISHWASHER

my dishwasher did the same thing last week and it was the garbage disposal. I had to run the garbage disposal and clear it out and then reach my hand in the dishwasher to check for any items blocking the drain. I had nothing and clearing out the garbage disposal did the trick.

Bosch dishwasher timer freezing

There is a recall on the control board of many of these models, butyour problem is likely not related. It sounds like a plugged drain system or a possible bad drain pump. That's why you are hearing the pump running constantly. I have written a guide to help. It is here. Thanks!

Loud vibrating/humming noise

Okay...based on the model number, this is a Frigidaire manufactured dishwasher. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and type in the your model number in the Search menu, you will find a useful illustration under the "Motor and Pump" heading. The drain pump is listed as item #60 in the drawing. Before you go through any major dis-assembly, check to make sure the pump is securely in place and not loose. Sometimes the pump comes loose from the mounting bracket and vibrates. Also, sure nothing is laying against it causing vibration noises (I've seen this before). If the solution is not that simple, remove the spray arm assembly inside the dishwasher and inspect all the debris traps under the spray arm assembly. The wash pump and drain pump sumps are located here. Check to make sure there's nothing obstructing the input to the drain pump. Lastly, if all else fails, remove the drain pump and inspect the impeller. If the you've inspected everything and still have the noise problem, replace the drain pump. The motor could possible be failing. The part number on the Sears website is 154580301 and costs about $40. Repairclinic.com has the same part listed as item #1257094 for $37.50 if you wish to do some comparable pricing.

I hope this helps you. If you need further assistance, please post back and let me know.

PS Even the quietest of all dishwashers will make some noise. However, if it has gotten to the point where you can hear it in the next room, you probably need to inspect to find the source of the problem. This is not true with all dishwasher manufacturers, but in many cases, the only difference between your "Quiet-Pack" line and regular low-end models is added insulation behind the door and lower panel to help quieten noise.

Indesit D41 dishwasher problem

you need to check the inlet walve . when you start the unit you say it drains. so after the drain do you hear the water entering the dishwasher? If you hear a sound like a buzzing noise that would be the inlet valve working. if thats the case there is a clog at the screen in the valve not allowing the water or enough water in the tub. seeing that this is a portable unit you will also want to check to make sure the fill hose is not kinked up anywhere in the cabinet or under neath the dishwasher. If you hear no buzzing noise you need to check the inlet valve with a meter to first make sure your getting power to it and that the valve itself if good. check these things out and let me know what you found and we can go from there

if no drain, then no cycle. problem is probably that draining is not taking place. check the following: if plumbed in under the sink, remove drain hose from spigot and check no blockage. start any program - all programs start with drain. listen carefully for a low humming noise. if you hear this, it means you have something stuck in the pump impellor - bit of bone, cocktail stick etc. get back to me if you like with what you find
