I have an older Antares vending machine that is freezing the canned soft drinks. Is there an adjustment to raise the temperature of the refrigeration unit so that it no longer cools to the point of freezing the product?

Were you able to get this fixed yet? I have one and its a nightmare. You may have a motor not homed. Check to make sure a can is not jammed in the slot your trying to vend.

Dunno if you still need this answered but, I own a few of these and can relate. This model does not come with positive vend sensors. The issue your describing happens when the incorrect shim is used for a drink column. If your vending 3 drinks per row in a drink(D) column, it is recommended you use one of the middle columns as they are stock set to have 3 rotations per full 360 degree column rotation as the motor is setup that way. You can manually change the other columns to handle this and vend small cans but the far left and far right are default set to tall cans and bottles with 2 turns per full rotation so 2 drinks per row etc.
Dropping them all at the same time also typically indicates your using the wrong shims for that drink type. You should be able to find more info in the manual or order the correct shims from healthy you direct
There is an adjustment for the length of the cans. The columns that are not working properly have too much slack. Open it up and look behind the cans. There is a metal plate with spring loaded clips, top and bottom. Squeeze them together and move the plate forward to take out the slack. Do it top and bottom. When properly adjusted the cans will move a little (1/4 to 1/2 inch).
the antares is notorious for having evaporator problems. The evaporator is not galvanized and as such rusts after a period of time. Once rusted through the coolant is released. The machine will no longer get cold until the evaporator is replaced and the sytstem charged with coolant... gene
