How to reset Canon Pixma iP2770/iP2772 error 5B00, follow instruction bellow;
1. Turn off printer
2. Press and hold RESET button
3. Press and hold POWER button.
4. Released RESET button, POWER still pressed
5. Press and released RESET button 5 times
6. Released POWER button
Now, printer on SERVICE MODE condition. In this condition, computer detect found new hardware.
7. When computer detect FOUND NEW HARDWARE, wait about 20 seconds and press CANCEL
8. Open software resetter Canon Pixma iP2770/iP2772 - download Re-setter Canon Pixma iP2770/iP2772
9. Set Destination - Region : select region - SET - OK
10. Load paper = 1 sheet
11. Clear Ink Counter - SET - OK
Wait, the printer will print D=000.0
12. Ink Absorber Counter - SET - OK
13. Reset iP2770/iP2772 is done, now turn off printer.
14. Turn on printer and try to print

The waste ink counter is full, you need to reset it. First, download the resetter PCM_servicetool (.rar) Step 1: enter in service mode in order to used the resetter:

Ink absorber is full or waste ink pad is full. You need to reset your printer but you have to follow the procedure on how to enter the service mode.

Your B500 is most likely a waste ink full message, so try this

You need to download a service tool and reset the waste ink levels, then dissable the machine to remove clean and replace the waste ink pads. You could get away with just doing the waste ink reset but beware ink overflowing from the base of the machine. The E08 error also seems to be a waste ink and may also need a service tool to reset.

Go to the iP2770 Service Mode:
1. The printer is turned off and plugged the power cord.
2. Press Resume button 2 seconds
then press the POWER button until the green light on (when pressing the POWER button, Resume button ... jgn released first)
3. Then release the RESUME button, but do not release the POWER button.
4. While the POWER button is still depressed, press the Resume button 5 times. Led will light turns green orange with the last glow orange. (Do not be mistaken 4x because the printer will die completely, but it is temporary too) Then ...
5. Release both buttons simultaneously.
6. Led will blink briefly and then will glow GREEN.
