More than likely it's going to be one of these two things. Number 1 the battery is going out. Number 2. check the charging port to make sure that the their separation between the connectors. If there's any damage on the charging port or the plug, you could be cross wires and causing it to overheat. If the charge port and the plug look fine, check Amazon.com for battery a replacement. you will have to change that yourself but you find a real cheap price saving from 5x to ten times the cost of the battery as to have some else replace it for you.

I shutdown my dell venue 8 tablet and now it wont turn on tried the hold button thing that not working help please

Check whether the battery have enough charge. If it has below 40% of the total power needed, the tab won't start up. Recharge it fully and try. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

During an update my son turned off tablet and now it wont respond. The charge light comes on for 2 seconds then goes out.

Train your son to follow instructions and then call Dell Tablet Technical support ao 800-308-3355: They are in India so speak slowly and clearly while using formal English - they don't always understand American slang.

How can i fix my dell venue 8 pro? It won't turn on at all.

Seems to be a common problem.
You are on the right track with holding down power button.

1. Hold down for 20 secs, Wait 5secs, hold down for up to 10 secs, it may turn on before then.

2. Does the screen have a dim glow, even though there is nothing on it?
Let it discharge itself so the glow is gone, may take some hours.
Plug it into charge for at least 30 mins.
Try to turn it on.

"right click" by touching and holding on them until a square appears - you'll find the "delete" option in the list that opens.
