Please can you look at this link http://www.bosch-home.com/us/support/safety-notices/dishwasher-recall.html
Some of the bosch dishwasher are subject to a recall the problem is exactly the fault you have tried to rectify in your submission. The recall is free of charge and the units are between 5 and 14 years old. You will need to enter the full ENr, FD and Serial No to check if yours is affected.
Make sure you go to the Bosch website and follow the recall notice on this model...they have a recall repair notice that replaces the faulty controller on this model...the faulty controller may cause a fire so be sure to stop using the unit until you setup the recall repair appointment...I hope this helped! (We just found out about the recall...they never contacted us even thoughwe registered our unit when we bought it! Figures!)
if the dishwasher is leaking water there is no recall on that. the recall i believe you are talking about would be for the rinse aide leaking in the door. you should contact maytag to see about getting the new kit installed on your dishwasher and you may get your leak fixed for free since the kit comes with the door seal. You can contact maytag at (800) 675-0535 do not wait and do not use the dishwasher. you will need the model number and serial number off your machine when you call. it is located near the door seal on the tub.
Make sure you visit the Bosch dishwasher recall website as this model is under the recall with a faulty controller which may cause a fire! Check your model under http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/
then call 800.856.9226 to setup a recall repair appointment. We just found out about this recall and was never notified by Bosch even though we registered our unit after we purchased it...talk about poor customer service! Hope this helps!
