SOURCE: My acu-rite keeps beeping even after a battery

I cut the wire that leads to the annoying noisemaker. Carefully remove the rear cover to expose the circuit board (the rear cover is connected to the circuit board so pull them apart carefully). Locate the noisemaker, mine was round and connected to the back cover with black and red wires. Cut the black and red wires and replace the rear cover. NOTE: If you use the alarm feature, it won't work anymore. I read on the Acurite site that the reason it beeps is because of interference with the wireless signal. They suggest not using one of your wireless devices. If you are like me, that isn't a good option.

SOURCE: How do I reset the time on my acu-rite model #

Hold the Time button until the hour blinks. When it does, use + or - to adjust. When correct, press Time again. This will cause the minute to blink - use the same buttons to adjust. When finished, press Time again.

SOURCE: I have an acu-rite 592w

I know this thread is old, but I see no one answered the question - "How to remove the stand"

Grab the stand on the sides with your thumb on one side and fingers on the other and pull down ... I had to "rock it out" or pull one end then the other. It seems stuck but it will come off ... Another option would be to take a small screwdriver and insert it in the small openings under the standard gently push the tabs while pulling down on the side you are doing. Push the tabs towards the outside of the unit not the inside ... in other words if you are working on the left hole push left (left while viewing from the face of the unit)

What does hh.h mean on display

I'm assuming it just stands for "High Humidity". It wasn't raining at the time, but it sure had been earlier, so perhaps if it's over some number (like 90%), it just says "HH".

Acurite 1097-rx will not display outside temp or humidity. new batteries. Inside functions normal.

I had same problem. Take all batteries out of both units. Put the batteries in the remote sensor FIRST. Then put batteries in the main unit. Within five minutes, they will link up. Problem solved!

Our new model #00592W1 includes a low temperature adaptor that plugs into the wireless sensor. Is it necessary to use this?

I found this on another Acu-Rite manual: In case temperatures fall below -4F, bring the wireless sensor indoors and use the included low temperature adaptor by routing the wire out through a soft seal opening such as a window or door. (That way the Wireless sensor is protected indoors in extreme temperatures. Low temp adaptor is used outside to observe temperature.)
