It would be helpful to clarify if the fan doesn't turn ON or if the fan in fact does not turn, like on oscillate mode. has it worked for you in the past? or been defective since you purchased it?

Testimonial: "It was working fine for a long time its just one night I put it n da window n da next morning it was spinning. The light and power was on and you can hear it running but nothing was moving"

hmm.. well I would think that if you can hear it running, and all the lights and whatnot indicate the fan is running, is it possible the part with the fan's blades got disconnected from the motor behind it? Possibly what you hear is the motor still spinning/trying to rotate the blades? I could imagine that happening if the fan fell over or something. Hard to say, I've gone through a few fans myself that just crapped out on me completely, because I sleep with them on every night and don't always remember to turn them off when I leave the house, so they get used quite a lot.

I have a Patton Heater ( Brand New ) that was given to me. when I plug the heater in it lights up but the heater or fan does not come on. This heater has never been used. What could be causeing this?

Try spraying a LITTLE WD-40 on the fan bearings, with the heater unplugged, of course. You may have to remove the case to get access. Before you spray, try to spin the fan with your finger. Spray then try again with the finger. I think this will do it. If you don't have WD-40 ... try sewing machine or other light house hold oil.

I have a patton puh682 1500 watt heater and after a while it just seems to turn off is there some kind of timer or heat control?

Under the main black knob is a bi-metal switch which shuts down the heat at various temps depending on your setting. Their is no timer.

Any idea where I can get replacement metal fan blades for a Patton floor fan?

I'm not all up on Patton Model#s, but this is an older unit, correct? You may try contacting Patton (Owned by Holmes now so you may have to go through them)

If they cannot help you, try www.dtvintagefans.org There's collectors there that may have parts fans that they may be willing to sell a blade.

Alternatively, you may try Grainger, as they sell an assortment of blades. You will need to match a blade to your motor though, which should be fairly easy as the Patton fans use a common McMillan motor which most attic fans also use.

Fan keeps cutting off after being taken apart and cleaned

If it was wired wrong it wouldn't run. I would suspect uneven tightening of the motor screws.
