How to fix a wii with no power light - Nintendo Wii Console

Wii red light going batty flashing like every 1/3rd of a second, and it will not turn on. I FIXED MINE BY UNPLUGGING EVERYTHNIG CARDS, CABLES, FROM EVERYWHERE, AND REMOVE SDCARDS ALSO, AND DISCS, BOTH GC & WII CARDS, SENSOR BAR PLUG, POWER Plug *ALL THAT'S PLUGGED OR INSERTED... Now i plugged everything back in ACCEPT Not Sensor PLUG To back of wii, then the light quit (This is after 4 min break all undone...) And then plugged the Sensor plug and THEN as i finally plugged in the POWER Plug I first held the SYNC red button on the Wii, and then plugged it in and WAH-LAH Isue Resolved Immediately, KUDOS for the hints Cheerz & Peace Love Banish Fear/ hate to not even give it thought in root thoughtfulness.!. www.fb.com/stanleydeanparker/

If your Wii is plugged in and the outlet is working. There is no red light, no green light, then most likely your AC Adapter/power cord is no longer working. You can find a new power cord at the following website. This should fix your Wii's power issue:

NINTENDO WII Red Light error, or Red ring of Death RORD is avery common issue, and can happen anytime. There are different Error numbers related to RoRD, and appears on screenstarting with "E".

The sensor bar cable and the RCA cable can be ignored for this problem. In fact, just disconnect them and go with just the power cable. If you are getting power to your Wii, it will display a green power light on the front when you power it on without the sensor bar or the RCA cable plugged in. (It should also display an orange light when it is off, if it is getting power from the outlet.) Take the Wii into another room with working outlets and plug it in. Attempt to power it on with the power button on the Wii, and with a working Wii remote. If neither will power the Wii on, try borrowing a Wii power cable from a friend, or purchase a replacement. If the new power cable does not fix the problem, see if the Wii is still under warranty and send it in for repair.

Have you tried the following? If this doesn't work then pleae provide details on details such as the batterys you are using, number of remotes, etc.
The Wii maunual does not give clear instructions how to reset and sync your Wii remotes. I have found that from time to time my remotes will not sync, especially after they have changed 'order' a couple of times. It appears there is a bug in the code that keeps track of remote codes, and it has a limited buffer for the storage of remote ID's / order. Here are quick step by step instructions how to reset the remote list on the Wii console and re-sync your Wii remotes.

1. Un-plug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes (60 seconds should do, but leave it off longer to ensure all the power drains).
2. Plug the Wii back in, and turn on the power button.
3. Open the panel on the front of the Wii unit. You will see a Red button.
4. Open the back panel of the Wii remote where the batteries are installed. Beneath the batteries is a small button.
5. Press and release the small button. The Blue lights on the front of the remote begin to flash.
6. Press the Red button on the front of the Wii unit.
7. The Blue lights on the remote should stop flashing after a few seconds. Then one Blue light will remain representing player 1.
8. Repeat for remote 2, 3 and 4.

According to Nintendo u can try this. 1. push the reset button and if that doesn't work unplug all cords and memory cards (including sd) from wii and unplug av from the wii and the outlet in wall. Wait 2-3 min and then plug it back in. Thats as far as i got because that fixed my problem hope this helps someone!!!

Hold in the power button on the Wii console for about six seconds until it powers off. The light on the power button should turn red after you do this, not amber. Press the power button again to boot the Wii.

9 out of 10 times this fixes all weird issues. If you simple power it down to the amber light, it's not actually off, so you really aren't getting a "cold" reboot.

When the lights are blinking like that, it's indicating the battery level, and also indicates that the wiimote is not connected to the wii. Replace the batteries in the one with the left light blinking and see what happens. Try turning off the wii, and pressing the power button on one of the wiimotes. It should turn on the wii and then the far left light will turn solid. Then press a button on the second wiimote and it should connect. If it doesn't, press home on the first wiimote, go to the settings at the bottom, and click Reconnect. Then follow the onscreen instructions and the problem should be solved.
