Here is what they say:
Recovery DVDs are available by mail for select Toughbook® products. Windows® XP back up service is only available to customers who purchased Panasonic computers with XP downgrade rights. Windows XP Backup Image and Windows 7 Recovery DVDs restore a PC to its original factory image. The standard Panasonic factory image includes the Windows operating system and all drivers/applications originally installed by Panasonic.
That is it.
Good Luck!

You can download the latest driver from their site here:
http://support.creative.com/Products/Products.aspx?catid=218
Just select your model there and there will be a download link on the product page. If your model is not listed there, scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "If your product is not listed above, please click here."
Check your Windows label that has the product installation code printed on it. On the label it will also have the XP version number it will be X08, or X10 or X11 etc. You can use any Windows XP installation CD PROVIDED the CD Part No. matches the X08 or X10 or X10 version that is printed on your product label. If you install XP using the wrong version CD then the installation process will not accept your product installation code and Windows will not install.
The XP driver is available at: http://support.visioneer.com/products/8700/downloads.asp
There is no indication of 64-bit or 32-bit support. However, the driver is not guaranteed to work with XP SP2 (only tested with SP1). This suggests that SP3 is also not tested.
I found the problem to be a rather simple but frustrating one....when is an HP dv1000 not a dv1000....almost always!! You cannot get the correct downloads based on the model number on the tag. You must specify the PRODUCT NUMBER on the HP download site from the tag, not model. You can enter the general DV1000 and get to the download page and look for the entry "Not your Product?!" Follow that link and enter the PN from the tag....download those and you will get drivers that work with your unit. My "DV1000" was actually a DV1660!!!!
