My gas stove top igniters keep ingniting when turned off
Try carefully cleaning around the ignitors. Also clean hole in burners. Clean the holes closest to ignitors. This can be caused by a crack in ignitor, this requires replacement.
This problem is due to a short to wires contact on the igniter sometimes this happens after a cleaning of the cook top with water so in this case you just use hair dryer and dry out the ingniter.
Other possible reasons are over heating of the ingniter contact so you have to remove it and clean wire contacts.
Finally the igniter contacts are melt together or sometimes full of burned oil and they need to be replaced. Inginter is not expensive part.

same problem, does jennair do anything about it - seems like a very dangerous problem to have and i dont know if since weve had it for one year now if it can still be considered under warranty...seems to be a manufacturers defect.
