SOURCE: Jenn-Air JFC2089H Bottom Freezer French Door

The water could have been frozen in the door and melted when your fridge warmed up.

The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

SOURCE: refrigerator top rack is warm. Temperature shows 65 degrees

if your freezer can make ice and the ice is dry, the problem is simply air flow into the refig section. A very common cause for a service call that wasnt needed for reefers is the settings. One setting OFF 1-10 usually, operates the compressor. The remaining setting will say , for colder freezer or similar, It opens a little flapper door between the freezer and the fridge section. If you set that one to max or coldest freezer it will actually starve out the fridge section for air ,and you get a cold freezer and warmer box! It happens everytime someone has the problem , its too warm! they peg both controls to coldest! The compressor will coll the freezer sufficiently even if set to 1 and the fridge should be cool too if the setting isnt pegged to coldest setting thus closing down fridge air and making the freezer colder which isnt ever required!

D50BP keeps freezing up with frost

That model number refers to a dehumifier made by Freidrich. this is the refridgerator section. For a dehumidifier to work right the temp in the room needs to be 65 degrees or better. The machine is designed for use in temps over 65. A freezer or Fridge will do the same thing if used in a cold area. It works by cooling the coils to close to freezing in normal temps, but when it is colder than 60, the evaporator may cool below freezing temp of water and the condensate will then freeze on the coils.

Ffbm 920w won't cool

It appears that your auto defrosting system (if you have one) is not working. So your evaporator coil is frozen up - all that ice serves as an insulator and not enough cold air is getting down into frig section. Until you replace either the freezer defrost element or the defrost timer all you need to do is unplug for a few hours till it fully defrosts then plug back in - will work fine for a few days at normal internal temps till the ice builds up again.

If your timer and defrost element are both working properly, THEN, you might want to check if you have enough refrigerant in the system - you may have a leak.

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

Freezer temp increased slowly;ice cream/ice will not freeze

If the repairman is experienced the problem will be resolved. I have recharged refrigerators myself and it is difficult, time consuming ad tedious. Sorry the work needs to be done in your home. If he does not know what he is doing he will cause problems and make excuses for why the refrigerator does not work correctly. Hope you have the best service available for your area. Sea Breeze

The alarm light is flashing, the freezer seem to be working,

Most all cooling systems need to be in an ambient temp of about 60-65 degrees. If not, it needs a low ambient control. This helps keep the high side pressure high enough so you have the proper pressure drop accross the expansion device. This applies to coolers, freezers, a/c units, and so on. I also think, if it keeps things frozen like you want, where's the problem? You make have a control just acting stupid.
