hi tanks for the question there are heaters at the spots you said were hot and those heaters are there to prevent moist air from hitting cold surface and create warer droplets from forming on those surfaces i would remove the back of the fridge and vacuum it out that should solve your problem thanks the appliance doc

can be a few things, if you open the freezer door do you hear afan running?? perhaps the fan is no good?? is there a large amount of frost on the lower plate of back wall of freezer??? very common issue to have a bad defrost thermostat.

You have bad defrost timer or bad heaters. Most of the time the problem is heaters. You have to completly thaw unit and install the heater. You may need a service tech for that but get model and serial numbers. Go to appliace sore and buy the parts yourself. Save you some money.

I did check the fan and it was not operating and checked the voltage to the thermostat it was good and replaced the stat. It is working now.
