29V instead of 24V means, the backlight inverter board is not working properly. When it starts work properly, this 29V will drop to 24V. It is the clear evidence for improper funtioning of the back-light inverter. Check and replace damaged component/s at its backlight inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. Stuck on standby

I'm a little confused here as without the 5 volt standby voltage the blue light won't come on, the TV will be dead like its not plugged in, are you sure you were on the right pin when you measured that? It almost sounds like your on the PSON or PWR-ON pin.

I have 5v andd 12v out should there be 24v?

I believe you may be confusing this particular error reference to voltage with the power supply's (PSU) available rails (in that case, no there is no 24v rail).

Regardless, it is likely you merely have a faulty PSU. You have two options here as I see it: One, purchase a PSU tester and verify that your PSU is failing (you can get one of these for as little as $6), or you can simply replace the 4700's 450W power supply for as little as $20-$25. In my opinion, and that is all I can give with the available information, you are better off going with the latter. Chances are, you are not going to be running a whole lot of additional PSU tests in the future (and it sounds like your PSU is failing) so you would basically just be spending an additional $6 on a the new power supply that I am very confident you need.

Just think, with that saved six dollars... you can buy approximately 1.82 gallons of gas today!

My 32in spectre tv flickers black, when I turn it on it sometimes stays on for a lil bit than starts blinking black again and when I play my Xbox I can still see what I'm doing on the screen but it...

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

I have a Polariod FLM-3232 with a pshchodelic screen. All caps look good and no out of the ordinary parts look bad. What would you suggest?

See this website for detailed info: http://blog.coppelltvrepair.com/2010/09/how-to-test-power-supply-r0804-0901.html
Remove power board. Using 2 12v car batteries hooked in series, temporarily apply 24v to the CN2 and CN3 connectors. If tv operates fine, then the power board needs to be rebuilt. If problem persists, then the power board is good and the main board has some bad capacitors on it.

PSU or inverter problem?

I would recomend replacing the 11 caps on the inverter as 90% of the time its failed capacitors on the inverter. If you shine a bright light into the screen can you see the pic? Thats usually one of the first things I do when I suspect bad caps on the inverter.

Either PSU or Darfon V144 inverter backlight problem?

Hi, Please measure all windings again and see if there is one lower than 900ohm. All CCFL might seem working but only for one second before the protection circuit cuts in. By the way, there is something that I would like to know, what is the type number of your remote control?
