SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite P30 (new) Battery (and old) not charging

1. You will need to check the power adapter it may have lost it's ability to send a charge to the board.
2. Also the connector to the PC may be damaged and the solder joint at the mother board may have cracked or damaged.
3. Check also that you have the battery completely snapped in place.
4. check the contacts on the battery itself.
5. You PC may need service.

SOURCE: TOSHIBA SATELLITE M45-S165 won't charge Battery.

it could be possible that changing the dc jack at the back may fix the problem however it could be a faulty new battery as ive had a few copies (not original) which would work for a week or so then die or others which wouldnt work at all, i finaly splashed out on a new original battery and it hasnt let me down and i bought it over a year ago.

Hope this helps

Toshiba satellite c655 won't power up

Take off the top keyboard and power lid. Check for damage to the power flex cable. Plug in AC adapter. The port where connected power flex cable should have two or three pins. With small screwdriver try two-pin jumper shortly. Does not turn on again? All you need to replace the motherboard

Toshiba Laptop Satellite C655 will not power up

Take out the battery and only hook up the AC Adapter into a normal working outlet. Push the power button and if it turns on then you know the battery is bad. If you still dont get the laptop to turn on then either you have a bad AC Adapter or the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Broken Laptop Screen: Toshiba Satellite c670-165

As in this model?

http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-C650-C655/remove-replace-screen.htm

The Display Assembly is laid back to a point, that you can access the two bottom screws. Isn't a direct 90 degree position with the screwdriver. More like 60 degrees.

No?

Then the Top Cover (Palm Rest Cover) has to be removed, in order to access.

The sound on my toshiba satellite c655 s5068 laptop does not work after sleeping.

You may try this; Turn OFF the laptop, remove the power sources (ac adapter and battery). Without power sources, hold power button 10 secs. Put back the power sources, and power ON the NB. If same thing happened, uninstall and reinstall the audio driver. Go to start/type device manager in search box/click sound video and game controller/uninstall the audio driver and restart the laptop to take effect. Once the laptop booted up wait for the message that the device driver is successfully installed or check if the audio driver is back in the device manager. Then test the sound.

How do I replace the keyboard?

next to the F1 key and the windows key (2nd upper key and second to last key) are two screws, usually under some covering. unscrew and lift top edge of the keyboard towards the trackpad to lay face down. Undo the wire ribbon by lifting the grey or brown tabs and remove ribbon and keyboard. Then install the new keyboard by inserting the ribbon on the place. Lock down with the tabs and put the plastic prongs (close to the space bar) into the laptop body first, and then close keyboard onto the final position. screw back in and thats all.
