SOURCE: Philips 32TA2800

The Way Im understanding your problem is,
it seems like you need to hook your rcas directly to the tv and switch the surround to aux or something similar to that.

If there is a USB reviever on the back or side of the TV you may need to try and update the firmware. Go to the manufactures web site search for your TV. You'll need to have the serial number and model number, which you can find on the back of the TV. Look for "equipment updates" then once you find it, download it to a usb and plug into your tv. There should be directions on their website. You could also call their technical support line, which can be found on the manufactures website.

If you really need to buy a PC board, I would contact Philips to see if they are still made. They should be able to tell you who can supply one if they do.

Philips tv goes to the settings screen when you turn on and it doesn't go off for about 20 minutes

This could be a setting in the set or a microprocessor issue--I will presume you have unplugged the set for a while and tried that.

No model number is indicated here but you might consider calling Philips with the model number to see if it is a known issue in your set or if there is a software upgrade for this.
