How do i turn off my answering machine

The headset(s) and the base station need to be re-sync.

Check the bottom contacts (base and headset) and let them sync (3+ minutes) OVER-NIGHT if the headset are low on battery.

This will sync the security code.

You can turn the answering machine on/off by pressing the [ANSWER ON] button as described on page 34 of this manual. This will only turn it off until it's turned back on again. To disable it permanently you'll have to epoxy the button in place or cut the wires going to the button or some other surgery.

The CS5111-2 isn't an answering machine. If you have a separate answering machine connected, please refer to its documentation. If you subscribe to a voicemail system offered by your phone company, please contact them for instructions.

The manual for this phone doesn't say you can turn the answering machine on remotely, but every one I've ever seen can do so. Most of them say call your number and let the phone ring...and ring...and ring, and eventually the answering machine will turn on. Ten rings is what I've seen most often. I guess the manufacturers figure most callers will hang up fairly soon if the machine doesn't answer, so they pick a large number. Try it on your phone; worst that can happen is it won't work.

go to settings to turned it on and to message settings to delete the messages

of course there is you just need to unplug all of the cords [ power off]. and then plug them all back in and it should reset its self

Go to answering mode and press 0. 8 - turn on answering machine 0 - turn off answering machine.

figure out how many times it takes for your phones answering machine to automatically turn on, then call your phone company and have them limit the number of times your phone rings. like say at 14 rings if it auto answers at 15 rings.

i am also the same problem.

Turn the power off for like 10 minutes and then turn it back on. Make sure its not on fax mode, but tel/answer mode
