SOURCE: I have a Krups IL Primo #972 missing the carafe and overflow grid

I stock and sell many odd Krups parts & accessories - most of them in excellent used condition. If I don't have it in stock, I can usually order them at a discount. I currently have a few of the overflow grids available and usually have the carafes in stock as well. Just send me an email at [email protected] and I'll help you locate the parts you're looking for.

Krups fnf2 The message is put container under water steam and press hot water button but no water comes out and message appears again

That model had a likelihood of the electrovalve growing a green crystal inside the fitting where the teflon tube comes from the boiler. The electrovalve is a solenoid operated tap on the steam wand side accessed by removing the lid and the side cover. I used to take the electrovalve off completely to do the job. To get the teflon tube out you depress the silver collar around the tube towards the fitting and pull on the tube. It won't come out unless you depress the collar. You then unscrew that same fitting and clear the green crystal out with a probe or screwdriver and rinse or blow the fitting out. The fitting was sealed from new into the electrovalve with some sort of sealant product, I used to clean out the threads and use some thread tape, I never had a leak and did heaps of them over the years.

Expresso machine screw on lid leaks steam

The valve in the lid is faulty, it will eventually fail completely. The correct lid can be ordered from your local Krups service agent. Be prepared for disappointment though as many of them are now obsolete. You will need to give the agent the model number, it's normally on a sticker on under the base.

Manual for Krups Il Primo 972

That model is ancient, you are going to be scratching to find a handbook for one of those things. You may be better to ask specific questions relating to what operation of the machine you don't understand. They make good coffee, were relatively reliable and now any parts you may need are now obsolete.

Krups FND1 lid pressure release spring and seat came apart. How do I reassemble the safety release?

The lid is broken, you need a new lid. I have checked online and it is available, part number is MS 0927155. There will be small plastic pieces in the boiler, fill it up and tip it upside down & shake it about.

Radiator not getting hot

As it's above the boiler, the most likely cause is air in the system - I would try bleeding the radiator.

The frother on my krups 'il primo' has lost power. The steam barely comes out. How can I fix that?

I've also had this problem with the Krups 'Il Primo' - reduced steam for frothing of milk but plenty of espresso.
Diagnosis: over many uses, a residue of dried milk plugs the interior of the steamer tip.
Fix: Using a small adjustable wrench, remove the tip. Clean it inside and out with a tooth pick. Reattach the tip - gentle with the wrench.

Krups 867 boiler steam leak

Save yourself the trouble, buy a $1.99 frother at Ikea.  Makes the cleaning process easy - that's what I use at home, never used the steam wand on my machine.
To use the frother, just heat up the milk and froth away.  Pretty easy.
