Is the drawer gunged up? Are you using too much detergent?

Remove the drawer, and clean it with hot water and a brush.

Look into the empty drawer slot for any blockages and remove.

Replace drawer, try pouring hot water into the open drawer to try to dissolve and clear any blockages.

Consider using a dosing ball and adding detergent to the drum.

SOURCE: Miele 435-plus washing machine Problem: water

There's a hose or tube that goes from the dispenser cavity to the tub that is likely clogged. Small clothing can be siphoned into the hose or tube and block the water path causing it to leak out to the dispenser drawer. Locate the hose/tube port in the tub where the blockage may be located, if not, you have to remove the front panel fully access and take the hose/tube out for inspection.

Disconnect power then remove the screws attaching the top panel to the rear of the machine and slide it rearward and off. Remove the dispenser drawer then the screws securing the console to the machine cabinet. Lift the console off then remove the screws securing the front panel to the cabinet. Slightly lean the front panel forward and disconnect the door lock and switch assembly wire harness. Remove the front panel and set it it aside. The hose/tube can now be fully accessed for inspection. Reassemble the machine in reverse order of the disassembly steps.

The dishwasher runs through it's cycle but does not clean the dishes properly and leaves a cloudy film and smears on the inside of the machine and the dishes

    Common Problem
  1. Confirm the wash water is hot

My hotpoint wmud843p washing machine is leaking from the detergent draw at the start of the rinse cycle?

Open the draw. Grip it tightly and pull it out. clean the draw and clean the dispenser housing. Usually leaks due to powder etc getting stuck under dispenser draw causing water to bridge across and leak under draw. Also use a pipe cleaner or cable tie to clear any blocked holes in the dispenser.

Get error SUD and will not finish cycle

The Motor Control Unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential Suds Lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Possible Causes / Procedure

• If too much detergent was used:
- Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.
- Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.

This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.

Cold wash/rinse selected, but only hot water is used

I have a Sears front load washer and I also noticed that on a cold wash/cold rinse cycle the machine was drawing hot water.

Laundry detergents require water to be at a certain temperature to aid in disolve. The machine adds sufficient hot water, regardless of the cycle, until that temp is reached. If I was to use a cold water detergent the machine, because it has no way of knowing which detergent I'm using, will still add hot water until that minimum temp is released. I don't know if there are machines available which include detergent type as an option?

Soap in JetDry dispenser.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to completely get the detergent out of the rinse aid reservoir in one quick method, short of taking the inside panel off the door.

However, I would try a simple way to flush it out. With the door open almost al the way open, pour warm/hot water into the rinse aid fill hole and keep pouring until you start to get clear water coming out. The water will be flowing back out the fill hole you're pouring the water into and should just flow down the door panel into the dishwasher tub. Try to keep the door about 10-15 degrees up from all the way open to let the water get in the rinse aid reservoir.

Just pour the water in slowing so you don't agitate the mixture and you should be able to get it running clear in 5-10 minutes. It could take a gallon or so of warm/hot water to accomplish this, but it will flush it.

When you'r done, just put the dishwasher into a rinse cycle to pump out the water and soap, etc. You may have to run a full cycle afterwards to get rid of any excess detergent in the tub.

Hope this helps and best regards!

Rinse Cycle

Is this a fairly new Energy star machine? If it is the rinse cycle is a spin only cycle with several spray rinses.

You may have an option switch that gives you a Fabric softener option, use this option and you will have a deep tub cold water rinse.

Make sure you are using He detergent.

If you have soft water use less detergent

Let me know if you have further questions.

Your sales rep should have told you this!
