You are correct I am not impressed with Samsung , I like Induction but their units are too finnicky - I have two 5 inch burners one accepts the pan the other does not same pan , so it is not the pans. I think I would like to go to a store where they have induction ranges and compare with induction ready pans (ready is not necessarily induction capable) before i would buy another. This oven has convinced me to disregard the cool features Samsung has (because it comes with others that it should - like cook all burners on HI at the same time) and so for my other appliances I will look at other brands that you know just work.
We had the same problem after having bought a Samsung Induction Range. We have 24 years of experience with induction cooking so we did not accept Samsungs Customer Service reps telling us that it was caused by our pans.
We went as high up in the Samsung organization as we could and ended up in the Office of the President. In the end we learned that Samsung is internally well aware of the fact that their induction range has a serious design flaw.
So here is our solution: Get a refund, if necessary through the Office of the President. Buy another brand. We bought a Frigidaire and it works perfect with all of our pans. We even have the feeling that since we changed ranges our energy bill is lower.... And yes, induction is the best way of cooking!!!
