How can I change time on maytag range model YMER8875WS?

If its a square glow bar it must pull 3.5 apms to open the gas valve. Round ones pull 2.5 apms. even though the glow bar is on it must be real bright. Has it been taken over 45 second to light the oven. You will need some way to check the amps. If its getting enough amps the safety valve is bad.

set the regulator to propane and change the orfices to the blk ones. copper is for nat gas / black for propane .. thanks hope this helped .mm

You may have inadvertently set your range to "Sabbath Mode". The display actually reads "SAB". This is a feature that allows the consumer to disable certain features of the range in order to honor the sabbath. You cannot defeat it by unplugging the range or turning off the breaker either. You will either have to wait 72 hours for the mode to clear, or figure out how to turn it off.

To turn the Sabbath Mode on/off on most Maytag models you simply press and hold the "Clock" button for 5 seconds. On other Maytag models you press and hold the "STOP/TIME" and "CANCEL" buttons down at the same time for 3 seconds. These instructions should be in your owner's manual.

If your range is the same model as you posted this question under, the time is set by pressing the "CLOCK" button. The word "TIME" will begin to flash on the display. Using the keypad, press the corresponding numbers of the current time.

NOTE: If the oven has been programmed, or is in use, you cannot change the time. Cancel all other functions before attempting to set the clock.

I had the same problem, after multiple calls to maytag I finally rec'd an answer. I feel your frustration, didn't need a service call for this.

On my model hold down the keep warm and cancel button for 3 seconds and it will change it.

Loof for the tech. sheet in the unit , either in the control panel [top] or the bottom under the drawer. It should tell you how to enter different modes on your range.

bake and broil feature not even responding to touch???? its one component " the electronic range control" clock assy. after trying to unplug and possible resetting the control. i would say youll need to replace the control unit.

YOU OVEN IGNITER IS PROBABLY ONE STEP AWAY FROM GOING OUT.

SO REPLACE IT AND YOU SHOULD BE UP AND RUNNING.
