I want to remove a link from a relic watch, watch band: Relic Wet zr11685. This is a metal/stainless band.
I just got this watch for a gift and was able to remove links myself after doing some research. It really isn't difficult if you are patient, have a little mechanical experience, and have some very basic "tools" available.
Tools:
Try to pick a well lit table in a room where you will not be interrupted.
Procedure:
1. Lay the watch and band sideways on the block of wood so that a pin for the link you would like to remove is just hanging over the edge of the block and pointing down. You need the block to brace the band while you hammer lightly on the pin. Someone to hold the watch in that position would be helpful, but it can be done alone. Only try to remove pins that have an arrow on the back of the band pointing at them. It does not matter with this watch band which way you go with the pin.
2. Carefully line up the push pin point with the top of the pin.
3. Slowly, lightly and carefully hammer the plastic side of the push pin so that the pin in the link just emerges from the band on the bottom side enough so that you can grab it with the small pliers.
4. Slowly and carefully pull the pin straight out with the pliers. You can pick up the watch from the block of wood to get a better grip. Be careful not to bend the pin since you will need to replace at least one of the pins you remove.
5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 until the band is the correct length. I needed to take out 3 so I removed 2 from one side and 1 from the other side of the clasp.
6. To fasten the watch back together again, gently insert the pin back in the hole it came from it. You will probably need to use the tack hammer to make the top of the pin flush with the band.
Relic watch ZR11607 also know as the Relic mens Silverstone watch with black degrade dial and date feature. Luminous hour markers, water resistant to 165 ft. link removal instructions are as follows:
1- Place on a well lit table with the clasp unlock. You will also notice that when clasp is unlock, it is still connected forming a loop.
2- Find the lower clasp with the arrow pointing towards the watch.
3- Turn the clasp inward at about a 90 degree angle and twist the two links firmly in opposing directions. Presto! out it pops out.
4- Repeat, until you have the desire length.
5- Reverse the prossess at the same angle but make sure you insert from the bottom to the top, "not flat" and apply a ot of force with fingers.

The Relic watch my son just received has interlocking links that are removed with a twisting motion. You will see that the pin stays in place, and is snapped into a receptacle. There are no pins on the sides, only a smooth surface, that is the tip-off that you have this style of link. I found that having the link pair at a 90 degree angle seems to help when removing and re-installing.

I figure it out, you actually need a device that applies pressure to push the pin out. Make sure the pressure is applied in the DIRECTION OF the ARROW. Otherwise you will probably break the device. I bought one on Amazon for $7.99 and it worked like a champ!

Zr11586 (not the zr11685) watch is simple, depress the latch pin using a paperclip then bend the link u want removed to a 90 degree angle and push outword at an angle from the inside area of the watch band. repeat as necessary.
Regarding removing/moving links on a watch bank... I used a straightened paperclip to insert into the tiny hole to compress the pin ... once one side is depressed, the other side is a breeze ...

I think maybe we're all too familiar with the little old watchmaker image, loupe in right eye with tiny tools at hand......The links that have the arrows on them are indeed removable, it just takes more force than you might think. I'm in my office, so I used a pushpin (like for bulletin boards) and yep, it took more force than I thought, but the pin did come out the other side. A little tug with needle nose pliers and out it came. Remove link, repeat as necessary. Good luck

I also need to adjust the band on the relic wet watch. I am stumped. I have looked the watch over with a fine tooth comb and I see no link that can be removed. the instruction manual says for the last link in the center section but I can't find it.

I have the same problem. We called the company today and there are little pins in several of the links that you can supposedly push in to remove that link. There are even little arrows on the inside of the watch band that show the ones that can be removed and the direction to push them. We have had NO luck however trying to push the pins in or removing the links.
I have a Kenneth Cole (Reaction) watch which they tell me to contact Geneva watches to get instructions on removing the links. Up till now I have been unsuccessful in pushing the little pins in the direction of the arrow to remove the links. The pins seem permanent. Anyone know what the solution is to get these off?

Have same problem with Relic Wet ZR11644. Unable to locate or remove so called "adjust-a-link" on watchband. Instructions say to "Lift tab at end of center section on last link. Open clasp and remove link." I'm unable to locate any such tab on any link.
It almost looks like you need a little flathead screwdriver to get the pin out.
