SOURCE: Honda FG100 Tiller - Tines wont move

I took the transmission apart and the gears were fine. The friction pads on the centrifugal clutch don't seem to make full contact with the drum. Does anyone know what the thickness of the friction pads are suppose to be? I used some belt dressing on the pads and got some movement on the tines. With no wear on the gears, I guess I'll be replacing the clutch.

SOURCE: Honda FG100 tiller will not prime, filter replaced

Well if the unit has fuel than it should prime unless the primer bulb is damaged and unable to force air/gas through the line. This is definetly a fuel issue, I would remove both the line from the tank to the carb and carb to engine and clean them thoroughly.

When you press the bulb the carb should shoot gas from the unit when disconnected. If this isn't happening your clog is here. If it does eject gasoline than your clog is the clear line which sometimes collects sediment if the gas is poluted.

My Honda FG100 tiller's tines spin when not in the dirt but as soon as I put them in the dirt they stop. What could be wrong with it?

My guess is the clutch shoes bite enough to turn when unloaded but slip when loaded. Try www.hondalawnparts.com for a view of the parts. You will need your chassis number off the machine label as there are several versions of the FG100. A good handyperson/home mechanic should be able to change these / establish the fault. Parts are at your local Honda garden agent or online.

I need a worm wheel for a Honda minitiller FG100.

You can buy parts for this from www.petessmallengine.com
I had to replace the tine shaft w/worm wheel assy. This is usually the weak point in the transmission. The worm is made out of brass.
