Loud smeg spin cycle
Open the loading door and place your hand at the top of the inner tub, close to the door opening and lift slightly. Inner and outer tub should move as one solid unit. If there is play between inner and outer tubs, you likely have a tub bearing issue. That is bad news, but repairable if you have the ability to DIY.
If the tubs seem good, then look for a sock between the inner and outer tubs. Often it is in the upper left corner (but could be anywhere) close to the door opening so that you can grab it with your hand or needlenose pliers. If you give the tub a spin you may be able to locate it by sight and feel, or with a flashlight from inside the tub through the drain holes. Also look for an object that may be stuck in one of those drain holes, like a screw, etc. Let me know if this is no help, we will look for other causes.
