If you do not have a remote for your Sylvania TV, you can try using the buttons on the TV itself to navigate through the settings and change it back to the video screen. Look for a button on the TV labeled "Menu," "Settings," or something similar, and use the arrow buttons to navigate through the options. You may need to consult the TV's manual for specific instructions on how to navigate the settings without a remote. If you don't have the manual, you can try to find it online on the Sylvania website or by searching for it on the web with the TV's model number.
Hello
Your Sylvania 6413TG model is capable of storing 181 channels in its memory; by frequency synthesised tunig process. Just connect external antenna or cable to its antenna socket and make it autotune first. To autotune it, get into 'Menu' select 'Channel set' select 'Auto preset CH' and press 'Vol up' button once. The set will search and memorize all the channels transmitting at that time and will hault an the end and show the first channel received. You can then select your favourite channel by channel select button at the remote control.
If this process is not going on; that is; channel search is OK, but no channels are stored, and the set struck in one channel only. the memory IC inside the TV is faulty and should be replaced. Memory IC can be located very near to the main system control IC, having 8 soldering leads. It can be desoldered and replaced. It will have a number printed on it and should be noted well. This number is very important, and the replacement also must be the same. OK.
U can't get to channels 3 or 4 without a remote.Ur getting stuck on these particular channels 26,35 and 19 mean the last owner put these channels on the tv memory.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an exact remote or very close to the original,if u want make use of this tv.
unplug tv for about half a hour and replug it back in to reset it and see if that works..I also have that big remote and it worked find for me the first time so maybe tv just needs to be reset. hope that helps
go up to your TV and go into the menu. Go to the channel selection and run the auto select for channels. This will take some time but the TV will end off the first channel found, the only thing is you cannot get back into video mode without the remote
If you have a menu button on the front of the Tv, you could search for an autoprogram or channel search menu and select that. Otherwise a cheap universal remote might be needed. You also want to make sure it is selected to receive antenna and not cable channels.
