SOURCE: HTC Touch Viva is not charging

You have to check first the charger you can used multitester in position DC volt to make sure the voltage no problem, if in the plug no voltage maybe the cable damage, or the soldering on pcb circuit bad,you can try with another charger first to make sure where is the problem.

SOURCE: battery power was very low. plugged Drsire into

Hi,

Please remove the charger and take the battery out of the phone for one minute. Whilst the battery and charger are out press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain any residual power from the phone.

Replace the battery and charger and after a minute power up again.

If the issue is resolved or if it persists please do let me know.

Many thanks for using FixYa

TCL lx. Screen does not light up.

Fix an Android device that won't charge or turn on Use the steps on this page to fix the following problems on your phone:
  • Won't turn on
  • Has a black or blank screen
  • Turns on but immediately turns off

Hold the power button First, try holding down your phone's power button for 5-7 seconds. This usually restarts a phone.
Troubleshoot your cable, charger, outlet & case
  1. Use the charger and cable that came with your phone. To check that the charger and cable are working, try them with another device.
  2. Check that the cable is securely connected to the charger and to your phone. Check that there's nothing in your phone's port, like dust or lint.
  3. Plug the charger into a wall outlet. To check that the outlet is working, plug in something else, like a lamp.
  4. Check that no accessories, like cases or battery packs, cover your phone's sensors or press its buttons.

Troubleshoot your battery charge
  1. Plug in your phone with a working cable, charger, and outlet, then wait one minute.
    • If you see a battery icon, your phone is powered off and is charging. You can restart right away.
    • If you see a red light, your battery is fully discharged. If the red light is flashing, there isn't enough power to turn on. Charge your phone for at least 30 minutes before restarting.
    • If you don't see a battery icon or red light after you plug in your phone, the issue could be with your screen.
Tip: Battery icons and lights can vary by phone. For your phone's details, contact your device manufacturer

Battery indicates being charged but is not being charged. Is this an indication that battery is in need of replacement

if the screen is showing that the battery condition is charging then power is getting to the battery
whether the battery is accepting charge or not would depend on the battery condition
if the charge light is on the charger ,it indicates that the charger is working but not necessarily supplying a charge to the battery
I suggest that you take the phone and the charger to a shop that specialises in batteries and have them both checked out

Why is my iphone not charging?

This means it's not getting a charge. I've just experienced this problem myself. I followed instructions online regarding cleaning lint from the charging port of the phone. Still no charge. I bought a charging cable that came with a car charger made by Belkin, this worked in the car, also allowed me to charge the phone from the pc, but wouldn't charge from the original plug. So I purchased an original Apple branded lightning cable today and it works. At last. So it turns out that my cable was faulty and another branded cable would not work with the Apple plug. So you need to try a known working Apple cable and plug and failing that clean out the port on the phone as lint is a common problem.

My iPhone is flashing battery and beeping

I assume it is on the black screen with the empty battery. If it doesnt come up with the little lightning bolt to show it is charging then it is likely the cable or charger are dead. try laptop USB charging port instead. Note I have had faulty cables that would lock up each USB port tried until I rebooted. try a friends charging rig that you know works. Another thing to check, is pocket fluff in the charge port which may prevent you inserting charging cabel correctly.

Red blinking light

Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).
Please take a look at the table reference below.

My phone keeps beeping when in the charger unit

Without knowing why type of charger you are using this is difficult to answer, but more than likely it is that the charging is getting interrupted. Another words, the charging cable is not making a good connection. This would be the port on your phone where the charger goes into your phone or it could simply be your charger cable. Try using another charger and see if you have the same symptoms with another charging cable. If so, then it is more than likely to charging port on your phone. Recommendation at this point would be to take it to your cell phone carrier so that they can make sure it is indeed your phone, they would advise you from there. Hope this helps.

Will not charge or turn on using USB cable.

Two things.

HTC phones will not charge from the USB port unless you have ActiveSync on an XP or Mobile Device Manager on a Vista PC loaded.

Second, if the phone has been stored for a very long time, 1 year if initially charged, 1/2 year if not, the the battery self discharges to a point the USB port PC Sync software doesn't know the phone is connected. You must jump start a charge on the battery by either and HTC AC charger, a generic AC/USB charger will not work, or you can apply a +5 VDC voltage to the power terminal, marked + and - on the battery case, on the two outside terminals I believe. This 5VDC must be current limited for safety. The Red and Black lead inside a standard USB cable will supply current limited +5 volts at 100MA. Chop off a standard USB cable, their cheap and break out expose the Red and Black leads. While connected to the PC USB port, hold the Red lead to the + battery terminal and the Black to the (-), or other outside terminal, of about 30 seconds to a minute.

Now when you plug the phone to the PC with a good USB, the Amber light on the phone to indicate Charging, may not come on for a while, 5 minutes or so, but it will eventually. If it does not, jump the battery again for a longer period of time.

An AC charger for the 3125 are fairly inexpensive. $7 or so, on ebay with shipping. This may be the way to go. Consider getting one with a new battery. They are sold this way sometimes and sometimes for little more that the charger alone.

Audiovox SMT 5600 will not charge

If your battery goes COMPLETELY dead, which it will do if phone is not turned OFF and not used for a long period of time, you will need to JUMP START it using you OEM SMT-5600 AC charger. Other AC chargers will not work for this purpose and neither will a USB port.

You can JUMP START the battery using a USB port by cutting off a USB cable to expost the red and black power USB PORT power pins 1 and 4. Remove your SMT-5600 battery and while the modified USB cable is plugged into your USB PORT, hold the BLACK wire to the negative (-) terminal and the RED wire to the positive (+) terminal for about a minute. Replace the battery in the phone and connect the phone to a USB PORT using a standard USB cable. The SMT-5600 charging light may not register for a while, but will eventually light amber to show it is charging, assuming your phone is recoginzed by your computer.

Note some mini USB cables DONOT carry the USB power leads through to the phone, only data. If you have a very thin USB cable, be suspicious the power leads are not being carried in the cable.

Since the USB PORT power is limited to 100ma it cannot hurt the battery, but will insert enough current into a totally flat batter to cause the battery to register a voltage large enough to alllow USB PORT charging, typically 3.7VDC.
