Why has my HP Office Jet Pro 8600 has stopped printing envelopes?

If the same fault occurs with different printers it is almost certainly caused by the document.
"...second envelope from same document" suggests you are using a mail-merger. Is that right?
What happens if you start again from scratch? Mke a new document and try to print it a a single entity, without using mail merge?

Printing envelopes

You have to setup printer details, not to sure of programme, if word try looking under mailings/envelopes. There you have the choice to alter the details of the item you wish to use as a template. Good luck.

use the hp software ..and use the envelopes templates in the setup of the page ..or ...just open Microsoft office word ..and select the mailings and in the left side will be the envelopes template ..(office 2007)

If you are using Microsoft Office 2007, open Microsoft Word and click the Mailing (Mail merge?) tab. (Sorry, I use the French version, so I do not know exactly how the tab is called. In French it is publipostage). Click the foregoing tab. At the left of the menu bar you will see the image of an envelope and the word Create. Click the small down arrow under Create and click envelope. The wizard opens to allow you to configure the dimension of the envelope.



At the top you enter the the name and address of addressee and at the bottom the sender's name and address.
By clicking one of the two envelopes or the options button you can configure more (dimension, feeding face-up or face down, etc.)
Once the envelope is configured, you insert a stack of envelopes according to you printer specifications, and press the Print button.

As you do not specify the model number of your printer I am unable to tell you exactly how you feed the stack of envelopes. Sorry.

have you adjusted the page setup on your software?
I'm assuming you're using Word to print a mail merge. yes?

Check that the margins are setup properly in the "word document"
Go undetr file, page setup, and confirm the envelope size is set properly.
Check the page setup in the printing preferences.
File, Print, Printing Preferences.

The printer accepts whatever margins microsoft word tells it to use.
