Riding lawn mower won't start

Make sure there isn't anything binding the deck belt or blades. Check the spindles for free movenent. If all that is good then it might be the linkage that is supposed to adjust the throttle when the engine is under load or it might be a carb issue...especially if you run ethanol gas in it.

Inspect/replace the air filter to ensure proper air flow.
Inspect/replace the sparkplug(s) to ensure proper firing.
Check the position of the "choke" (if equipped; & by the way, most riding lawn mowers do not use a primer bulb button to prime the engine before starting).

Check all deck idler pulleys and make sure no bad bearings or flat spots

If choked off. Pull a spark plug. May be full of gas.

is it last years gas?if it fires with choke on with fresh gas then the carb is plugged and needs to be cleaned

main jet is clogged in carburetor. not getting any fuel.

Trans 150$.Mower deck 50$.Hood 50$.Fender deck and seat 75$.Front axle and spindles 75$.Electric clutch 40$.This is what you can expect to get if you part it out or you can trade it in for 250$ on a new Deere.
