3232 polaroid tv,makes popping noise when i turn it on.

Same thing happened. I unplugged it and everything for a couple of days then turned it on. Went to the menu and put reset to default. The V chip was then activated. If that happens to you too try 8202.

I hate to say it, but it is prob the main board that went bad. (the board where all the inputs get plugged into) It is possible that it might be the power supply. One thing to check is to make sure you have 25v coming from the powersupply board to the connectors that plug into the main board. If you do have 24-25v than you will have to replace the main board. If not than the powersupply.

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. This happened to my tv as well. I have a 62 inch polaroid. Were you able to fix your tv. If so what did you do and how much did it cost?

Usually TV's have that period of time where they'll turn off after an hour or two of no one pressing  a button. If the problem persists, You could get another one and return the old one with the new one's receipt. 

I also had this problem with the sound suddenly going out. After spending hours determining that it was not caused by my cable box, and unlocking volume codes and such, I took someone else's advice and hooked up a cheap surround sound speaker system through the audio ports on the back. Now I have sound for my tv, and it even sounds better than when the tv sound was working.

thre are several components that can make a buzzing sound, especially a bad power component or capacitor. check the capacitors to make sure they are installed in the board correctly. the stripe on the cap must line up with the white mark on the board under it. remove the back panel lay the tv down on a blanket turn it on and see if you can isolate the noise component by ear up close. and visually check for swollen capacitors the top will be pushed up round if bad if good it will be flat on top. warning if tv is less than a year old make the place you bought it replace it. so you dont void the warranty.

i have found others that they did this same symptom when the ir board went out its only 9.95 plus installation.

The set should be under warranty, call the company or go on line and get a servicer out asap. good Luck

Your only solution is to change the sound to mono. Eventually the power supply will go and the tv won't work.
