SOURCE: function keys directly not working

Welcome to Fixya

You need to enable it at the Bios. Reboot the computer and press the button that will lead you to the BIOS menu of the motherboard. Go to System configuration and go to actions keys mode. Press enter then select "ENABLED". Save settings before you exit then test the issue.

My levono C460 system sound is off so no sound what can i do?

Hi
3 possible solutions:-
• Adjust the Windows volume control - select the speaker icon from the Settings Charm or click the arrow on taskbar to show the hidden icons in Windows desktop mode, then click the speaker icon. Ensure that the volume is turned up and the sound is not muted. Adjust the volume, bass, or treble controls to eliminate distortion.
• Reinstall the audio driver.
• Disconnect any headphones from the headphone connector - sound from the speakers is automatically disabled when headphones are connected to the computer's side-panel headphone connector.

I also give a link below to a page from which you can download the full manual for future reference.

Why new lenovo c460 will not power on

Do you have it plugged into a wall outlet? If this is brand new the battery may not be charged up.

If all of the other keys work properly, you probably just need to press the "NumLock" key to toggle the numbers.

2 buttons on my ti-83 plus wont work.. what should i do?

The pads are warn out, or dirt has built up under the keys, or a brake in the board trace. In order to attempt repair the calculator must be dis-assembled to get at the keys, you will need a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol, clean the board and keys and re-assemble in hopes it will work.

The buttons on my TI-30X IIS are not working except for the 0, equal and second buttons

I had the same issue.

  1. Open up the calculator.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Remove the two screws holding the display section down.
  4. Carefully pry the button circuit board up and remove it.
  5. Use an electrical cleaner and lint free cloth to wipe off the button circuit board.
  6. Re-assemble and test.
For me, cleaning off the button circuit board restored all buttons to working order. When it is disassembled, and after cleaning, you could flip the board, display, etc. up and out of the case and test to see if it works as well.

TI 84 Plus Silver Edition

I actually fixed mine!!!! Mine was acting up too. I found somewhere that the no/slow key response could be due to a short in the I/O socket. I blew into it really hard (you may want to use compressed air, but I didn't have any onhand), and it works perfectly now!!!!!!!!!! I hope this helps.

Non functional keys

HP 48SX and HP 48GX calculators have a membrane which connects between the internal circuit boards. This is a common failure point. The "ON" button is often the first button to go out. The calculator can be opened up can cleaned, but it is a little involved. Forutnately someone has posted pictures and information on what to do.

http://www.hpcalc.org/hp48/docs/opening/hprepair.zip

There is a text file with information. The file is big because of the pictures. Summary: Open the case, bend metal clips holding the circuit boards together. Clean up any dust and the contacts. Reassemble.
