If you're running windows on it, and it's the blue screen of death, then you'll most likely need to reinstall.

If not, and you're referring to the blue screen on start up, you'll need to troubleshoot the boot process. Memory or drive might need to be re-seated or replaced.

How do I get my mac book air to load...I see a grey screen with a signal line that starts to load then stops at approximately 40%. What can I do ?

If you are running 10.7.3 or later hold down the option key while starting up and select the recovery partition to start up. Then select utilities/disk utility and try repairing your hard drive. If this doesn't work you can also reinstall the OS from the recovery partition.

Macbook air white screen

It is not finding the OS. Could be a corrupt OS or bad SSD. Hold down "D" immediately after the dong sound until the hardware test screen shows. Use the arrow keys to pick your language. Follow the instructions and post the error code if one is found. Chris

Mac book air to view sonic monitor & I can't find icons or anything just grey screen and mouse...anyone can help?

Hello,

Go to System Preference on your Mac which is a setting icon (Gear) then go to DISPLAYS > ARRANGEMENT >CHECK ON THE MIRROR DISPLAYS.

You can also set the monitor arrangement sideways or upside down.

Hope this helps.

My screen suddenly shows blue and pink vertical lines

Sounds like the gel has dribbled down into the workings and has effected the circuitry. Time for a new monitor. More importantly, why the heck were you using a liquid/gel sanitiser on electrical equipment. Use dedicated screen wipes

My Mac Book will only go as far as a blue screen with a folder flashing a question mark. What does this mean?(also there's a ticking sound near the DVD drive when i first start up)

The DVD ticking sound is normal and happens every time you power on. The blue screen of death is not normal. The flashing question mark means corrupt start up file. Re-install the operating system or insert disc 1 of your gray install disc and go into disk utilities and select repair permissions. Then select repair hard drive.

My Mac Book Air have just white screen upon swithing on. Nothing more

Insert your installation disk that came with the mac and hold the "c" key while turning it on, this will force it to boot from the cd drive. Choose your language from the selection screen, I'm going to assume English, and choose Utilities --> Disk Utility from the drop-down menu on the top of the screen to open the Application. From there select the Mac partition of your Hard Drive on the left which should be called "Macintosh HD if you did not change it. In the "First Aid" tab, you will see two buttons on the bottom right hand corner of the window, "Verify Disk" and "Repair Disk." First Verify the disk, then Repair it, if it does not work at that point you will likely need to format your Hard Drive. If you do not want to lose any work and can't retrieve it any other way; get an external laptop HD case (specs are 2.5 inch by standard 9 mm, but could hold thicker like the 12 mm Western Digital Blue Caviar line above 500 GB) from Radioshack or similar, it should run you about $25. Transfer or backup any data you want to keep to your desktop, external or similar from there and format the disk and reinstall Mac OS. Cheers.
