You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.
The VTech 6041 isn't an answering machine. In order to set up voicemail, you first need a device capable of handling voicemail, such as an answering machine.
your service provider might come with voice mail system, you need to log on to your provider website and disable the voice mail or you can setup your provider voice mail to 4, 6 sound and your Digital Cordless to 2 sound before the voice mail pick up and you will see the difference.
Set up the answering machine that came with your Vtech 5.8phone. To activate your voice mail, press the "Answer on/off" buttonat the base of the main cordless phone. Press "Setup" and then usethe arrows to set the number of rings before the answering machine picks up
Press the "Announce" key on your Vtech 5.8 mainphone base to listen to the greeting that people hear when they call you. Press"Record" to record a new greeting and then press "Announce"to listen to the greeting.Press "Play" on your Vtech 5.8 main phonebase to listen to your voice messages.
