I recently bought a new Powershot A495.I turned on the camera and the lens come out normally.But when I try to take a photo, the lens comes back in. I can't take a photo and the screen is black. Nothing happens when I try to restart it.The same thing happens.
IIt seems that the battery is low or not powerful enough to run the camera properly. when the camera notices there is not enough power it will automatically shut down. ensure the battery is fully charged up on the charger and then try it. the battery type is if all these have been done and still the problem persists i would recommend a dealer have a look at the camera. to replace battery open slider plate on bottom of camera and flip tab to release the battery pack. I hope this was useful.
Canon NB-3L and if the camera is a few years old or has been stored for a long time the battery may need to be replaced.
I've tried to change the battery but it still does not work. Are there any other ways to fix it?
