Rated output is at full load. Units will produce power up to that limit and use gas accordingly. Very lite load = less output and less gas consumption, etc.
Possibly blockage in fuel tank or line to carburetor? Fuel filter?

im not suure what you mean about "Bog" but this gen is only good to 1600 watts cont. (2000 peak) and it has a auto throttle so it will idle down all by itself when not loaded past say 40% of total load , but if you think your having fuel starve problems try all the simple things 1st Fuel filer (inside tank) clean carb and stuff like that , I do fix allot of small engines with a good strong dose of stp fuel treatment and i never need to take em apart
what a **** generator, worked for 100 hours and now wont start anymore. did all the checks and replacing of spark plug and oil etc, simply wont start, ****, ****, ****..... service is horrible too. they just give you the runaround.
