SOURCE: NEEDLE KEEPS COMING UNTHREADED WILL NOT CATCH IN FABRIC
Most machines need to have the thread extend to the back of the machine in order not to come unthreaded.

Make sure you are threading the machine correctly and it has the proper tension. Also check the bobbin the thread has to go thru the little lash

Make sure the needle is installed correctly. With most sewing machines, this would be with the flat side of the needle shaft facing the back of the machine.
You may be able to find a free download for a manual at Brother's website.
SOURCE: needle keeps unthreading,so it does not sew
It sounds as if your machine is either threaded incorrectly, and or your tension is off. I would start by making machine is cleaned and oiled, then I would rethread the top and and make sure the bobbin is wound correctly.
SOURCE: after automatic thread cut the needle comes unthreaded
you need long thread tails, of 3 to 6 inches for the top & bobbin thread so the needle doesn't come unthreaded,
also pull the thread behind the needle before you start to sew
