On most turntables you will lift off the platter (where the record sits) , place the belt around the underside of the platter, stretch the belt over the motor pulley as you gently lower the platter back into place.
If it is the original belt, chances are it will need replacement. The rubber material breaks down and looses it's elasticity. You can test this by stretching the belt out and seeing if it comes back to it's original size. If it stays larger or seems really easy to stretch, it's time for a new one. I have seen them on E-Bay listed for your specific model. Please advise if you need further assistance.

IF the belt fell off, it is likely that the belt is stretched and needs to be replaced. Use a couple of pencils to open up the belt and beasure the length. The belt should go around the two pencil erasures forming an oval. Use that measurement to determine the belt size and purchase a replacement belt. The belt will go around the platter and around the motor hub.

Hi There.
If the belt falls of the platter, it might be an indication that the belt has stretched and is now too large. Or maybe it just fell off for any other reason.
Remove the rubber mat, and pull upwards on the platter to remove it. Sometimes there is a small "C" clip on the center spindle that has to be removed first. (use a small flat screwdriver to remove)
Turn platter over, and put rubber belt around diameter ring on underside of platter. It should be snug, and not fall off when you turn platter over.
Put platter back onto turntable, and spin by hand until you see the motor shaft through one of the holes in platter.
With a pair of tweezers - or crochet hook, put belt over shaft.
You're done.
Put back rubber mat and give it a try.
Good luck,
Fred
PS: If there was a "C" clip, you can re-install it - or throw it away.

Hi,
Getting Started

  1. Remove the rubber platter mat if your turntable uses one. Set it aside.
  2. Lift the platter straight up and off the center spindle to expose the turntable belt.
  3. Remove the original belt and check it for wear. Generally, a turntable belt doesn't slip unless it's damaged. If it is damaged, purchase a new one.
For a Two-Piece Platter Turntable
  1. Loop the replacement turntable belt around the cylinder located underneath the platter.
  2. Check that the belt is working properly by turning the platter clockwise two or three rotations. It should smoothly move along the motor pulley. If it doesn't, adjust it and turn it again.
  3. Replace the platter, and then carefully lay the rubber platter mat over it.
  4. Turn on the turntable and check it for correct movement. If it looks like it's working, play a record to make sure all is in order.
For a One-Piece Platter Turntable
  1. Loop the replacement belt around the cylinder located underneath the platter.
  2. Replace the platter carefully. One-piece platter turntables are delicate, and if you force the platter down or push it at an angle, you might damage the platter or spindle.
  3. Turn the platter so the hole in it lines up with the motor pulley.
  4. Pull the turntable belt and loop it over the motor pulley. Position it on the pulley groove to make sure it won't slip.
  5. Rotate the platter clockwise to make sure the belt is firmly in the pulley grove. Moving it two or three times ensures that it's in place.
  6. Put the rubber turntable mat back on the platter.
  7. Turn on the turntable. Play a record if it looks like everything is working to check the speed.

Clarinette 107 stereo cassette 8 track and record player. stereo works, but record player will not work. how do i find the problem?

I'm assuming you have a belt driven platter. Lift up the rubber mat, turn the platter it to where the motor spindle is, and see if the belt is still on. For more information or further questions, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.
