Check tube to water pressure switch. The wall of the rubber tube on my machine had worn through due to friction. Taped it up to make sure this was the problem. No H2O code and machine working!

Not sure whether H20 means "no water" or "overfilling" (google it) but it sounds like its over filling due to inlet solenoid valve not closing when it should. There may be a little plastic pot at the back of the drum with wires out the top - this is the pressure switch which detects the level in the machine and supposed to stop the water coming in when is full. The little pipe to it may be blocked so it doesnt know the machine is full and keeps filling.

Another cause may be the inlet solenoid valve doesnt close (sticking open).

Door should never open by itself - thats a separate fault with the door locking mechanism, the extra pressure of water is forcing door open.
Very Dangerous, you or your children could open door when its going round and get you arm mangled if the drum starts suddenly.

SOURCE: Error 15 on a Hotpoint WM72 Washing Machine

The problem is your pump or filter is blocked,
Remove rear cover of washer, and remove large black hose from tub, remove and clean filter inside hose, check for a blockage in pump, refit filter and hose, and it should now be o/k.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: h20 error

Hello

I used to get this when i lived with my mum & dad and i can honestly say that it was the water pressure with this machine only a small drop in pressure makes the H20 error code appear you can always add additional water when it comes on so that the cycle can continue. You could find out from your water board if the drop in pressure is a leak in your area?

I hope this helps i had to persist with this problem for 18 months untill a leak around the corner was eventually found and fixed.

Regards
Wendy

SOURCE: washing machine door wont open on hotpoint

remove the front kick strip, on the LHS you will notice a yellow tag. with the power on on the machine pull down twice gently on this tab. this should unlock the door.

if you now notice the drum is full of water its more than likely your filter is blocked and this is what caused the door not to open.
