I just purchased a used Panasonic KX-TD7896 Cordless Phone. I plugged it into to a line but do not have a dial tone. The system we have now uses Panasonic KXT7456-B. I cannot find any installation manuals that tell how to get the phone integrated.
Take one of the existing extensions on the system and listen with a normal telephone if you get Dial tone...Then if you do Plug in your Cordless phone and listen if you do get it then... If not..most probably the cordless is faulty.
