Hi. Thanks for this great site! A 2009 BD-30 Panasonic Blu-Ray player. I downloaded firmware from the PAN site, installed as per instructions. Now will not play ANY Blu-Ray disk, but does play normal disk perfectly?!

Upgrade BD30 wi-fi

To upgrade the firmware you will need to download the newest firmware from this site: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/bd/download/bd30/index.html and burn it onto a cd. If you can't or don't want to burn the cd it looks like they will can send a copy of it to you.

I have a DMP-BD35. It will play regular DVD's but doesn't play blu-ray. Just makes noise and then goes to "STOP". Would love any help.

Do you have the latest firmware installed on the player? If not you can get it from the Panasonic web site (www.panasonic.com for U.S.or www.panasonic.ca for Canada). If you are in a different country go to www.panasonic.net and select your region from the Global Network world map.

Once you are in the right site select support and then downloads and put in your model number. You can then see the latest firmware and instructions for installing it.

I have a problem with my Samsung BD C5900 blu ray player. When I try to activate the internet @ TV function it will not open the internet page. It instead tries to load a new firmware. A icon appears...

I have just installed the BD C5900 and have exactly the same problem. Spoke to Samsung and they say your have to switch the blu-ray off and on the front of the blu-ray player itself press and hold the stop button for approx 30 seconds (small square symbol). This is a master reset. You then follow the set-up procedure as you did when you first installed the blu-ray. I did this and mine works fine now and has the latest software version BSP-C5900WWB-1009.1 installed okay now, and everything including internet accessable once again..

How do you update a sony blu ray player bdp-s300?

You can Update the Firmware of the Blu-ray Disc Player(BD Player) in two ways.
1. By downloading Firmware update and burning it to a CD-R disc if you have CD Burner in your Computer.
a)Download the Firmware update from Sony website for free to your Computer and then burn it to a CD-R disc by following the instruction mentioned on the download page.
b) Insert the burnt disc into the BD Player and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Update.
Please click on the link and select the correct Operating System installed in the Computer to which you are going to download and burn the Update. Then, click on Download icon to download the Update.

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=BDPS300&SelectOS=27

The detailed instructions are mentioned on the page.

2. Second, if you do not have a CD Burner in the Computer or you do not wish to download and burn the Update, then you can contact the Sony Customer support to order a FREE UPDATE DISC. They will ship the disc to you free of cost.

Firmware download for MAC

hey same problem here, but I just downloaded the CD version anyways... then dropped the .RUF file onto my desktop, selected it, burnt it to a CD-R (RW will also work) and popped it into the BD-P1500, so far it seems to be running along steadily in the update process... hope this solves your problem.

I have a Panasonic Blu Ray player DMP-BD10A and I have had a issue when trying to watch some Blu rays that once you it play on the menu it gets stuck at now reading this has happened on The Happening and...

I just fixed it on mine. You need to update the firmware on your player. To do that just go to the website below and follow the simple instructions. Basically, you download the latest firmware, burn it to a CD, insert it in your Blu-ray and let it update, takes about 12 to 15 minutes. I gotta go now, family is waiting for me to watch Horton hears a Who. Good luck.
Dowload firmware and see instructions here: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/bd/download/bd10/north_america/index_a.html

Appears to turn it's self off,or freeze and go dark.

Go to http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDown.do?group=&type=&subtype=&model_nm=BD-P1400&language=&cate_type=all&dType=D&mType=FM&vType=&prd_ia_cd=03020100&disp_nm=BD-P1400&model_cd=&menu=download
you have to burn it to a CDROM as an image file, if you just drop it on a CDROM as is, it won't work. Insert it in the player and follow the menu to update the firmware. Takes 30 minutes in 2 steps of 15 minutes each.
I have to say though, after spending a year trying to get a 1400 to work, and multiple firmware upgrades on same, I gave up and bought a Panasonic BD35 which has been flawless on every movie.
