YOu cant' You used to be able to buy a new unit at Europro for $10. But don't know if they are still in business. I gave up on mine and do it manually.

I am not familiar with the Brother FS120QCi sewing machine. Nor have I been able to find ANY information online about that model of sewing machine.
Therefore, I suggest you locate the authorized Brother sewing machine repair business where you reside, make a phone call, and as one of the repair technicians there about the needle threader for your model of machine.
From information I found on other models of Brother sewing machines with needle threaders, the needle threader is an all-metal or metal and plastic piece which affixes to the machine. You can see images of some sewing machine needle threaders here: https://tinyurl.com/yb62lm2y
1. remove the cover place and clean the dust/lint out. test it again.
if it still does not work properly, then
2. take it to a repair facility - you won't have the parts (if it is a worn/broken part) and it takes a trained technician to troubleshoot and align things with the precision of a automatic needle threader.
Usually, the needle needs to be raised so the needle eye will match the threader. However, perhaps your threader has been bent or inadvertently pushed up or out of position.
to make manual threading of a needle easy buy a needle threader
it is a instrument that has a very fine piece of wire in a loop that you push through the eye of the needle , put the thread in that loop and pull the loop back out of the eye and the needle is threaded
available from most any shop that sells material , cotton , thread or sewing machine shops
cost --pack of 2 for $1.00 or there abouts
If the top thread is shredding it is usually because the needle and thread are not compatible. If thread is too large for the eye and the thread groove, the action of sewing will cause the thread to shred as it pieces the fabric.
Try a different needle and thread. Here's an excellent web site:
The automatic needle threader is very tiny and easily bent or damaged; however, it is designed not to turn if needle is not at its most upper position to protect the threader. Turn the hand wheel until the needle is at the highest position. If the needle is not aligning with the threader hook, you will need to replace it. And you can replace the needle threader hook if it is bent. I hope this helps!Jimmy
Check on the threader and see if the part that goes through the eye of the needle is bent. This is a very common problem. The threaders are becoming more and more difficult to replace. If the piece is bent, you can usually use a pair of tweezers to straighten it out.
You can get a new (grey) threader inexpensively that pushes on the bottom of the threader shaft from a dealership. Easy to do it yourself or they can do it in 5 or 10 minutes. Try taking the old one off and looking at it. It pulls right off.
