• if don't have these then you cant

You could reinstall Windows. There really isn't a "factory reset" beyond using the "recover disk" which reinstalls the OS. Did you get that with the laptop?

If at all possible, a whole new fresh start means, "Reformat".

Backup if at all possible and then go ahead & follow the steps to Reformat.

Note:.... Reformat will erase everything and you will have a laptop, like when you first bought it.

It is doubtful that there is one. Most PCs/Laptops have wizards that make wireless connection fairly easy. Printers and other devices are far more likely to have the WPS button as they are more difficult to connect directly via the router.

#1 in windows, go to regional and language settings, and ensure that your settings match the keyboard installed (If a USA system, then all the keyboard settings should be for US English etc) there are different layouts for different keyboard (US and UK keyboards have a few differences, others are more major)
#2 assuming #1 didn't resolve, boot to the diagnostics and run the custom keyboard test and see if it passes outside of windows (Boot to the Dell resource CD is the easy way to get to diags)
If the keyboard fails the test, then replace the keyboard. If issue still persists after keyboard replacement, then motherboard is next (A 8mo old system should still be under Dell warranty)
If the keyboard passes diags, then the issue is windows and final resolve, may be reinstalling windows

Is the keyboard usb or ps2? If its usb then try another port. If its ps2(Green) then power down the pc by holding in the power button for 8 to 10 seconds. Pull the plug and make sure no pins are bent. Plug it back in and boot back up. This should fix the problem if its ps2. Regards
