Whast the point of it recording video and now recording audio ???

    once again records the video but no sound, and is someone honestly trying to tell me that you made a camera that records a video but no sound, that is pretty much the whole point of recording a video, thanks for wasting my money.

This isn't a problem, the Fe-210 doesn't record audio and it was built this way.

Omg, its really annoying I reallly need it to record sound, does anyone know to make the clips recorded with this camera go on windows movie maker for windows vista, its not working!?

This was done intentionally by the camera manufacturers. I agree that it is not fair but the purpose of the movie mode is not to replace a video camera. It just allows you to take short movie clips. Depending on how long you have owned the camera you might be able to exchange it for a model that does allow audio capability in movie mode as Olympus does have other FE models that allow for this feature.

Your only fix is to buy another camera.

The FE210 is a very low cost basic video stills camera. Although it has the ability to record video when needed it does not record audio as it lacks the hardware to do so (click here to see the Olympus model specifications which clearly show no sound recording facility listed under Movie Recording System). On your camera it's really only a free taster of video simply because the camera shares hardware with other models in the range which record both video and audio. Keeping it basic on the FE-210 keeps the price down as many users don't want to record video and so don't want to pay for unnecessary features.

Olympus x-21 doesn't record sound with the video
I have the Olympus x-42 and had the same problem. My camera has a microphone but no speakers so i can only hear the videos which i have recorded on the camera on my computer. If your camera is the same make as mine, maybe we had the same problem?

No Audio/Sound when uploaded to Computer
Unfortunately this camera does not have the functionality to record sound during the movie recording mode. The camera was not designed with any input or output audio speakers. This is why you do not hear any sound on the playback.

On my Olympus FE-210 camera....It won't record sound. Is there a way I could do to get sound on it?
Unfortunately this camera model is not capable to record sound when in movie mode. The camera was not designed to support that type of functionality. There is no way to incorporate sound as the model was not designed with any audio output features.

Hi,

To my knowledge, an Olympus FE-170 has no audio recording capability and records the video on 15FPS.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
