SOURCE: Incompatible JPEG format

you are most probably looking at the pictures from the camera screen.... if you use a CF card reader and view them on the PC through internet explorer or any other software they will be fine..

You get this error when the files have been changed on the CF card by anything aside from the camera

SOURCE: canon 20d raw to pc

Have you ever been able to view the pictures on your pc?
Have you got a card reader that can view the card contents externaly from the camera?
I found the Canon software is quite as happy from a card reader as it is reading from the camera. (I have the next model up, 30D.)
Have you tried upgrading your software, or tried using a third party image program to read the raw files?
Over to you!

SOURCE: incompatible jpeg

Hi there
Save all the pictures to the computer, then format both cards using the menu in the camera, then take a picture and see if it takes them well.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!!

SOURCE: Incompatible JPEG format

Since i've read so many many site and they didn't give me the right solutions,I just simply view the picture in the computer and took the photo with my camera again. Don't worry, cannon is a good camera, it won't blur your pics from the computer. And for anybody who is going try my simple way, what i did(detaily) was turn off the light outside so the comp won't be "shine" like a mirror , turn off the flash of the camera and turn down the light of the computer about 50% so the pic we took won't be too bright :P I always did it the most basic and lamest way. Who knows? It works for me.

Some shots on review come up INCOMPATABLE JPEG

It might not be able to display some photos (different sizes or compression) from a different camera or jpeg files copied onto the card from a computer.
If the all the pictures are from the camera then the card could be corrupted. Try recovery software such as the free : http://www.piriform.com/recuva if some files can not be read. Copy the pictures onto a computer then format the card in the camera to erase it.

Where there once was a picture, there is now a ? & the words Incompatible JPEG. Please help. There are at least 2 of these on 2 of my favorite pictures from our recent trip.

HI This problem happens if the image has been edited by a photo editing prog. Try saving using Zoombrowser which comes with canon camera's.

Video footage not saved to disk

Sounds like you took the video using AVCHD Lite. It's actually in a hidden folder on the memory card. Most computer will not recognize it. Recommend you don't use it anymore. Use Motion jpeg instead. Takes more space but looks just as good.
